Sheneur Menaker (Shnay-ur)

Feast Studio is my food and drink photography studio. I shoot, I prop, and I obsess over the details until a plate looks like you could pull it off the screen.
Before this I ran a Brooklyn speakeasy for seven years. That’s where I learned that a great dish or drink is half flavor and half story, and that people share what makes them feel something. It’s still how I approach every shoot.
My work has been published in Fleishigs and The DJ Cookbook, and I’ve worked with brands like Health-Ade, Joolies, Banza, Hint and PlateJoy. I’m an entrepreneur as well as an artist, so I care about what the images need to do for your business, not just how they look.
Outside the studio I founded Hudson Modern, a Hudson Valley real estate firm, and Hudson Habitats, a boutique short-term rental company, and I DJ and produce music as Sensay Shnay.
The crew
Every shoot gets the team it needs. My go-to food stylist is Andrea Lubrano-Goldstein, a chef, traveler and part-owner of Brooklyn’s Black Flamingo, and I bring in stylists, assistants and hand models as the project calls for.
How a shoot works

Proposal
I send a plan with creative direction, crew and a quote.
Step 3
Shoot day
Props, styling and photography, in my studio or on location.
Step 4
Delivery
Edited, retouched images sized for print, web and social.
